The Caledonian Cheese Company employs more than 100 people working on a 17-acre site in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

The creamery at Stranraer has the capacity to process 300 million litres of milk each year - equivalent to the annual output of around 50,000 cows on 500 farms.

This quantity of milk could produce as much as 28,000 tonnes of cheese, as well as 10,000 tonnes of whey powder, 7,000 tonnes of skimmed milk powder and 3,500 tonnes of butter.
